NKE MRE Project in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc
The first batch of oceanographic buoys provided by NKE have just been deployed!
15th Anniversary!!
It’s already been 15 years now since nke has installed a network of instrumented buoys in front of the EDF Le Blayais nuclear power plant.
These buoys aim to measure temperature in real time from sea surface to bottom, when the Blayais nuclear power plant rejects cooling water in the river.
Mooring tests on oceanographic buoys
Yannick was recently on the field to make some tests regarding our oceanographic buoys.
Those buoys aim to measure in real time the turbidity level at 150 meters below the water surface and 3 meters above the bottom.
nke equipped the Port of Barcelona
Drones were deployed in the Port of Barcelona to monitor the water quality as they will collect geolocated samples that will later be analyzed in laboratory.
WiMo multiparameter probes are being mounted on the drones to record in real time some parameters related to water quality. Those data are transmitted in real time via 4G.
Nice shots of some nke profiling floats! 📷
From the right to the left of Euro-Argo ERIC picture you can see an ARVOR, a DEEP ARVOR, a PROVOR CTS4 and a PROVOR CTS5 Jumbo.
Those BGC PROVOR CTS5 profiling floats can embed lots of sensors and allow you to have +60% more energy and the Jumbo-e has an extension board to embed more sensors!
NKE MRE Project in the bay of Saint-Brieuc
In April 2020, the company Ailes Marines chose NKE to provide 7 oceanographic buoys which aim to collect and record meteorological and environmental measurements.
Welcome to our new sales manager! 👏
NKE sales team is pleased to present you Stefan Raimund – its new sales manager as he will aim to strengthen and develop NKE sales force on the international market.
Stefan has a strong scientific background:
👨🏻🎓 Ph.D. thesis in marine chemistry
🔬 Scientific consultant in a German company specialized in the subsea and marine technology
GreenHull Project
In a nutshell, the GreenHull projects aims to improve environmental protection by developing innovative green technologies for in-water hull cleaning in addition to effective cross-border management of the produced wastewater and waste arising from the hull cleaning procedure in the Northern Adriatic Sea.
Kick-off meeting of H2020 project NAUTILOS
On October 21st and 22nd we participated to the virtual Kick-off meeting of the project #NAUTILOS among a large consortium of 21 partners from 11 European countries!
We’re proud to be part of this innovative European project which aims to obtain a collection data at a much higher spatial and temporal resolution and enable and democratize the monitoring of the marine environment to both traditional and non-traditional data users.
NAUTILOS Project
NKE officially joined a new R&D project: NAUTILOS started on the 1st of October!
NAUTILOS aims to find a new approach regarding underwater technologies for innovative and low-cost ocean observation.
This is an H2020 project funded under the Future of Seas and Oceans Flagship Initiative coordinated by the National Research Council of Italy.
NKE will bring to this project its long-time multidisciplinary expertise in terms of ocean instrumentation development and integration.
PROVOR CTS5_USEA Training
One of our profiling float engineer, Christophe Schaeffer, hold a two-days-training on the PROVOR #CTS5_USEA that is fully BGC-Argo compliant.
Antoine Poteau (LOV) and Leo Lacour attented this training to collect all the information about the functionalities of this float that benefits from a new graphical user interface to set mission and acquisition parameters.
Buoys and multiparameter probe maintenance in Brest
We proceeded last week to the maintenance of buoys in Brest. ⚓🌊
Those buoys are equipped with NKE multiparameter probes that measure turbidity, conductivity, pH and fluo during the polder constructions.
➡️ Those devices aim to monitor the movement of sediment so that it doesn’t pollute the environment.
Enjoy the sunny weather of Brittany! ☀
