Buoys and multiparameter probe maintenance in Brest
We proceeded last week to the maintenance of buoys in Brest. ⚓🌊
Those buoys are equipped with NKE multiparameter probes that measure turbidity, conductivity, pH and fluo during the polder constructions.
➡️ Those devices aim to monitor the movement of sediment so that it doesn’t pollute the environment.

NKE Buoys in Luxembourg
NKE Team were on the field this summer in Luxembourg to set up two floats equipped with multiparameter probes and WiSens TD data loggers.
👉 The aim of the buoys is to measure the main physico-chemical parameters of the water.
👉 While the WiSens TD aim to monitor thermocline on the first layers of the water surface.
Offshore wind farm in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc: NKE Instrumentation offers its skills at the service of MREs
2020 is marked by the first EMR commercial project won by NKE Instrumentation. Indeed, the company is putting all its skills to good use in the field of marine renewable energy by providing a network of seven oceanographic buoys for meteorological and environmental measurements to monitor the construction work on the offshore wind farm in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc (in Brittany, FRANCE). The investment for this major project based in Brittany is being carried out by the Ailes Marines consortium under the responsibility of Iberdrola.
Flash Webinar: the use of the WiMo sonde
As we couldn't wait more to introduce you for real the WiMo sonde, we decided to stop waiting! Therefore we will introduce the WiMo sonde and how to use it through flash webinars on Wednesday, May 27th. Can't wait to have you there!
PROVOR CTS5-USEA at Ifremer test pool
New type of NKE profiling floats were tested at IFREMER test pool last week! 💻
The successful tests were holding on the #PROVOR CTS5_USEA profiling floats embedding the UVP6-LP from #Hydroptic in addition to the 6 core-BGC-Argo variables the floats can be equipped with.
The UVP6-LP is designed to study large particles and zooplankton. 📹 🦐
Port Horizon 2025 Project ⚓
The 6 NKE buoys were deployed along the port of La Rochelle to monitor the Atlantic coast during the constructions.
They are doing great and they proved their worth and robustness despite the breaking waves in December 🌊
Covid-19: Update
As a reminder, know that we implemented a continuity plan to ensure your requests.
To do so we established new sanitary procedures in order to maintain the activity and prepare ourselves for the end of the lockdown!
Therefore we keep doing the best of we can whether from NKE facility 🏭 or from home 🏡
NKE keeps expanding its underwater logger range
🎉 We are delighted to announce we keep expanding our WiSens underwater data logger range!
It is now possible to measure and record dissolved oxygen concentration or saturation as well as depth and temperature down to 500 meters depth.
The WiSens DO benefits from the same key advantages as its partners within the range:
✔Ease of use
✔Fast wireless configuration and data collection thanks to the WiFi communication
✔Easy maintenance
✔Intuitive web embedded interface
NOW AVAILABLE: the WiSens T
The WiSens range is becoming bigger!
NKE Team is putting its efforts to develop its underwater data logger range: the WiSens range.
If the temperature is your top one priority, you can now order the WiSens T which measures and records temperature down to 300 meters.
➡ Get ready for our next announcement regarding the WiSens Range on Tuesday, April 14th
ARVOR I Profiling Float
NKE Arvor I profiling float can now be fitted with an RBRargo3 CTD from RBR Ltd.
🎬 Check out the video made at IFREMER test pool to see how we test our profiling floats!
Training in Woods Hole! 🇺🇸
✈Last week was an American week for nke! While our sales team was in San Diego, one of our profiling float engineer was in Woods Hole 🇺🇸
Christophe hold a training on the PROVOR CTS5-USEA profiling float at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
The aim of this training was to show them all the functionalities and to explain how to use this float that benefits from a new graphical user interface to set mission and acquisition parameters.
The PROVOR CTS5-USEA is also fully BGC-Argo compliant as it can embed the 6 core-BGC-Argo variables and extras such as the new UVP6-LP from Hydroptic designed to study large particles and zooplankton. 🎥🦐
Thank you WHOI for having us!
NKE on the local news! 📺
🎥 Last week, our CEO Mr. Jean-Claude Le Bleis was asked about the objectives of Ocean BtoB which aims to gather companies to support the blue economy.
It allowed us to meet some partners regarding an offshore wind farm project.
📺 Thank you France 3 Bretagne for visiting our offices!
