Instrumented buoy – measurement chain & current sensor

The instrumented buoy was set up in 2005 and one of the aims of this buoy is to measure in real time the temperature when the Blayais nuclear power plan rejects cooling water in the river.

The system mounted on one buoy includes:

Instrumentation: measurement chain 10 x Pt 100, atmospheric pressure sensor, ADCP-current sensor

 Data transmission: GPRS and UHF

 Low energy consumption: solar panels

Buoy: 2500 Liters Float, traffic lights and St. Andrew’s cross

 Measurement operating software
