NKE MRE Project in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc
The first batch of oceanographic buoys provided by NKE have just been deployed! 👏
These buoys aim to collect and record meteorological and environmental measurements during the construction work of @Ailes Marines for the future offshore wind farm in the bay of Saint Brieuc (in Brittany).
These buoys are used to monitor surface and bottom turbidity at various locations on the St Brieuc site.
These measurements are a control and alert system put in place to protect the marine environment and the diversity of marine life in the bay of St Brieuc.
The area has great biodiversity, which best known is the scallops local resource that is managed by Ifremer and Côtes d’Armor fishermen.
